A matter of Time
Time is all we have
In this great world of ours
In between the Sun and Rain
And normal everyday showers
With the pollution from our motor cars
The Ozone layers cracked and holed
Causing global warming
Changing our weather from hot to cold
So how long will we have left?
When the climate change really takes place
And we have no protection from the Sun
It will burn and parch our face
Will little green men from other planets
Come to visit us and say
We are looking for a place to live
Because ours has disintegrated away
So we make the best of the time we have
Before it all comes to the inevitable end that nature has in store
As day and weeks and then years and centuries
Disappear for evermore
A hand to Hold
Sometimes when I feel down and out
I know someone is round about
Close at hand to lead me through
These sad times when I feel so blue
A Guardian Angel I must sense is near
This spirit, a person I must have held dear
Or is it someone I have never known
Showing love like I have never been shown
Who guides me through the straight and narrow way?
Always by my side, night and day
I feel the touch when I need a friend
Someone who will be with me till the very end
My spirits a lifted as I know
That my guardian Angel is with me wherever I go
I hear a voice carried on the breeze
Sometimes I think I hear an Angel sneeze
To know that I am never alone
For past deeds I can atone
Try to live my life differently from now on
That fear I had has now gone
Knowing I always have a hand to hold
Has made me strong with heart so bold
So lead me on to paradise lost
Through Wind and Rain, Snow and Frost
No fear's have I, now that I have the faith to cope with anything
Let’s see what life itself can bring
A Childs Toy
A Teddy Bear I may be
But I have some news, just from me
I have a Heart and Eyes to see
Paws and Feet, as human as I can be
But others only see me as a toy
To be played with by ever girl and boy
But as I sit upon the shelf
I have something better than worldly wealth
I was sent to my mistress by her friend
A present to keep till the very end
A substitute for when he’s not there
For her to cuddle to sleep without a care
So she will not be lonely on her own in bed
And take away that loneliness dread
She brushes me regular, I like that
And gives my head a gentle pat
She speaks to me and calls me Tom
Because that the name I was given where I came from
No mistreatment, no throwing around
No falls to hurt on the ground
I sit in pride of place
In my own chair by the fireplace
It keeps me warm all winter long
As I listen to her as she gently sings a song
We talk all night, well I just listen
As the fire embers burn and glisten
Then it’s off to bed together late at night
So we can cuddle up and sleep to dream
Christmas Eve
Christmas eve, it’s here again
That special time of year
When we all get merry
And are full of Christmas cheer
Children hang their stockings up
Awaiting Santa’s visit in the night
Their now all in bed asleep
Dreaming, and wrapped up real tight
As the Snow falls gently on the window pane
Freezing as it hits the ground
Glistening in the pale Moonlight
Illuminating all around
To see the children’s faces
Fast asleep in their nice warm beds
You wonder truly what is being thought
Inside their sleepy heads
Are they dreaming of all the presents
That may be waiting for them at dawn
And I bet they jump straight out of bed
Once they have rubbed their eyes and yawn
Parcels will be ripped open
Faces smiling all around
A new Doll, a cuddly Toy, is yelled
As wrapping paper hits the ground
Just to see the children’s faces
Is all the Christmas cheer I need?
Because to me, that’s what Christmas is all about
True happiness indeed
A Smile
A smile is just a smile
The kiss an after-thought of mind
A beating heart means everything
The spirit rises, deep feelings, passions unwind
The body shows every emotion
To show love at every turn
That special sparkle in the eyes
Whilst inside the soul doth constantly yearn
For that loving touch, those secrets look
This says I truly do love you
And as lips meet in a burning embrace
The fire burns like a Rainbows colourful hue
There is nothing as wonderful as two hearts beating as one
A sigh, an embrace or two
A look of love embedded deep within each heart
Everlasting in life through and through
The Robin
Christmas is coming
The Robins about
Looking for winter food
Better put him some out
A visitor to my garden
Most of the time of the year
But especially at Christmas
A time I hold dear
To see him sometimes
All covered in Snow
Looking so pitiful and lonely
As if saying, where can I go?
So remember to feed him
And wish him good cheer
Treat him as well as her treats you
For the rest of the year
The Angel
He flies through the air
with the gentlest of ease
like a whisp of the wind
he’s just caught in the breeze
Arc Angel Gabriel
or is it someone new
another Angel been created
to protect me and you
for he will always be with us
to lead us down the right path
so as to guide us
away from God’s wrath
Be we Saint’s or Sinners
no difference is made
his arms will be around us
to keep our souls in the shade
Always our protector
but a lonely existence has he
from his new life of servitued
he will never be free
for there will always be poor souls
like us, always in need
to be lead down the path of righteousness
away from some evil deed
Memories
Memories last forever
Dreams are all we have it seems
Our mind gets cluttered daily
Thoughts just come in reams
Time goes slowly onward
Ticking away at will
Never stopping or subsiding
Suffering from over kill
A lifetime of knowledge is stored
So deep within the mind
Creeping upon us in its own time
Unless you are the worrying kind
So always remember that memories
Can bring peace of mind at anytime it’s needed
Or a dream can bring such fulfilment
A true memory conceded
Morning Thought
As I hear the pitter- patter on my window pane
And sit and watch the gentle Rain
Run down my window like a mountain stream
My mind wanders into a dream
Many times I have sat and wondered what
May have happened to that golden pot
That is supposed to be at the Rainbow’s end
Be it Gold, Silver or a one true friend
Because who knows what magic may lie
At the foot of that colour strip in the sky
An old wives tale or fact or fiction
It is a path that could lead in any direction
The atmosphere, the Sun and Rain
Has caused this phenomenon once again
And now I continue in my dream
Is what I see really what it may seem
Love Is
Love is the hurt and pain
You get from deep within
Falling in love with someone
A new chapter in life does begin
A smile, a look a few chosen words
Can set it all in motion
Or just from a thought or deed
It can easily be set in motion
When its right and you will soon know
The heart pounds so deep inside
And flutters like a butterflies wings
It’s a feeling so hard to hide
Emotions are sent into overdrive
You feel as though you are walking in a cloud
Inside your very soul sings
And you want to shout I love right out loud
Just one sweet kiss or the gentle touch
Has meaning one cannot explain
You only know and desperately want
It to be done again
Making love with someone who means the world to you
Is the best that life can offer for free
So never let love disappear or slip away
It’s worth all the hurt and pain there can be
It’s the Heart that decides that decides the outcome
So just let the passion run and run
And in the meantime let the love flow
And your life will be full of joy and fun
True love will last forever
You only have to give it a chance
So when two hearts beat solely as one
Love will lead you a merry dance

That’s two words we can say with ease
It comes from within the heart
It is said to someone that we love
Whenever we are apart
To mean it is a blessing
Received like an Angels kiss upon the lips
It means so much to the one so far away
Who wants you at their finger tips
Someone who is lost without you
As you are so far away
Who has an empty feeling in their heart and soul
Till they return another day
Maybe it is a kiss or simply a smile
That they miss the most you see
You’re embedded in their heart and mind
Maybe their very destiny
So miss you may be hard to say
But to the one who cares it’s everything
So always say it if you can
